What is this web site, Family History all about?
This web site is dedicated to my life long passion of Family History and Genealogy research. I recall my interest was first tweaked with Alex Hailey’s televised miniseries “Roots”, although I think even before I watched this TV show I had an interest in genealogy and my family’s history. I remember growing up and listening to my grandparents telling stories of when they were my age. Although I do think this is a basic human need to know and understand where we came from so maybe we can understand as to where we are going. As over they years I have become the families “unofficial” historian and archivists. Hopefully when I am finished I will have established a permanent record for future generations to read and enjoy memories of those that went before them. There are a number of quotes I have read over the years to explain our immorality but I just came across this quote, “There is no death, daughter. People die only when we forget them,’ my mother explained shortly before she left me. ‘If you can remember me, I will be with you always.” ― Isabel Allende, Eva Luna
I am working on a Genealogy’s Tip page and will be adding Photo Tips for all those old photos we have that need restoration. The web site is presently under the process of being developed so watch for more existing additions to it.
